Dr. Anya Bernstein

Anya Bernstein, M.D. is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist with 15 years of clinical experience. She is Board Certified in Psychiatry. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Stony Brook (Renaissance) School of Medicine in New York and completed her psychiatry residency at Harvard Medical School in Boston.She has served as Chief Resident at MGH Faulker Hospital.
Dr. Bernstein has worked as a professor and clerkship director at UMASS Medical School, training hundreds of medical students. She received the UMASS Resident Teaching Award in 2024 and pioneered the integration of lifestyle group therapy into routine psychiatric practices.
A native of Perm, Russia, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Philology from Perm State University and a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology from Columbia University, earned after her relocation to New York City.
Dr. Bernstein uses evidence-based advances in psychiatry, medications, psychotherapy, TMS, and integrative/nutritional psychiatry.

Billing Department Manager
Nikol Lupu is a neuroscience graduate from Emmanuel College. During her undergraduate studies, she interned with Dr. Anya Bernstein at Anya Bernstein MD, PLLC.
Currently, she works in the billing department of the private practice and in the psychiatric unit at Franciscan Children’s Hospital.
